Radio 2
Company: BBC
Role: Senior Designer / Information Architect
The team were required to redesign the Radio 2 website to bring it in line with the new branding and BBC template. Initially I worked with the Information Architect on the website wire frames to ensure a coherent site structure and consistent user experience. Then I used the established brand kit to design the homepage and internal information pages. I also produced bespoke designed pages for the high profile presenters, to reflect the individual show personality and features. Finally ensuring designs and graphic elements were prepared for the development stage of the project. Throughout the project I worked closely with the other designers and interactive producers to ensure a high quality product was achieved within the timescales.
The site went live in April 2009, which was announced live by Chris Evans on his Drivetime show. It has been awarded a 5 star rating accompanied by an excellent review by WebUser magazine.
