As Senior Designer on the Kurt Geiger website re-design, I work closely with the Creative Director and the client to create a site that reflected the new brand and improved the user experience.
The homepage incorporates large glossy imagery to reflect the Kurt Geiger luxury retail brand. Promotions, trends and products are showcased and updated regularly so users can see the extent of the Kurt Geiger offering.
The product listing page has a clear structure with a simple filtering system making it easy for the user to browse the products. The search has been improved with an auto suggest and categorised results page. The product page is image lead, giving emphasis to the high quality garments. Related products are also displayed to help users complete their look. The shopping process is quick and simple to step through. Users can also register to the site for extra functionality such as Wishlist and Newsletter updates.
I also produced visual language guidelines to accompany the Kurt Geiger website. It outlines the site structure, individual elements and styles - such as colour palette, typography and imagery. It was used as a guide in the development process and a reference for future design additions.
